Journaling/Writing as a coping skill (part 1)

From the album: A Window to a Soul

Blossoming of a Soul

Don’t know how to portray

Always in disarray

Smiles and tears of Dismay

Don’t want to feel

Chemically saturated

Happiness fabricated

My soul desecrated

Don’t want to feel

Can’t seem to heal

Feels so surreal

Not made of steel

Life changed in an instance

Despite my resistance

Living in inconsistence

I want to stay

Everything’s familiar

Change is not familiar

Feeling so peculiar

I want to stay

Just go away

I like it this way

I wish it were different

Everything being God sent

Instead of discontent

I want to stay

Just go away

I like it this way

Confused led astray

Never asked for help

Despite what was dealt

Ego begins to melt

Can’t do it alone

What’s my destiny?

Please can you heal me?

Show me the real me

Can’t do it alone

All on my own

Insecurities shown

Now I surrender

Nothing left to hinder

Dreams alive in splendor

Can’t do it alone

All on my own

Insecurities shown

Quest of the unknown

Written around 2006
